Terms of Service
By using SnapTab, you agree to these terms — designed to keep the platform fair, safe, and reliable for everyone.

Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using SnapTab, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree with either, please don't use the platform.
What SnapTab is
SnapTab is a shared expense, group management, and collaboration platform that helps people organize expenses, balances, activities, and shared spaces. We're an evolving product — features may be added, refined, or retired as we learn what works.
User accounts
You're responsible for:
- Keeping access to your login methods (email, magic link, password)
- Activity that happens inside your spaces
- Making sure the information you enter is reasonably accurate
SnapTab may use magic-link or other passwordless sign-in flows. Treat those links like keys to your account.
Shared spaces & group content
You can invite other people into a shared space. Anything you add to a space — names, expenses, receipts, scores, notes — may be visible to every other member of that space. You're responsible for what you upload, share, and who you let in.
SnapTab is a tool, not a referee. We're not responsible for disagreements or disputes that happen between members of a shared space.
Acceptable use
A short list of things not to do. Please don't:
- Abuse, overload, or otherwise try to disrupt the platform
- Upload malicious files or content
- Use SnapTab for anything illegal
- Try to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or data
- Spam, harass, or misuse the invitation system
Payments, credits & subscriptions
Some features may require paid credits or a subscription. Pricing can change over time, and credits may expire or reset depending on the plan you're on. Payments are securely processed by Stripe; SnapTab doesn't see or store full card details.
Unless required by law, payments are generally non-refundable. If something has gone clearly wrong on our end, get in touch and we'll sort it out.
AI & receipt scanning
SnapTab uses automated and AI-assisted tools to read receipts, categorize expenses, and estimate things like taxes, tips, or currency conversions. These tools are helpful but not perfect.
Always review AI-generated results before relying on them. The captain or expense owner is the source of truth — not the model.
Availability of the service
SnapTab is provided on an “as available” basis. Features may change, be updated, or occasionally be unavailable — sometimes with notice, sometimes without — as we ship, fix, and improve things.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SnapTab is not liable for:
- Financial losses
- Disputes between users
- Incorrect calculations or AI extractions
- Lost or corrupted data
- Service interruptions or downtime
Please double-check important financial figures independently before settling up.
Account suspension or termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that misuse the platform. We'll try to be reasonable about it, but we reserve the right to act quickly when the service or other users are at risk.
Changes to these terms
As SnapTab grows we may update these terms. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of SnapTab after changes means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
